Cresson to Granbury

Training for Cresson

Cresson already uses US 377. The private studio sits on the Granbury end of that same highway, so the training trip is a direction you know.

Team 24 Fitness is the private studio on East US 377 in Granbury. Cresson does not have a second location. You train in the same room as everyone else: personal training, small group classes, and Cycle 24.

Why Cresson comes south on 377

Cresson sits on US 377 between Granbury and the Fort Worth side of the county line. Most weeks already include that road: work, school, the store, a game. Team 24 Fitness is not opening a room in Cresson. The studio is at 2461 East US Hwy 377 A in Granbury, on the highway you are already using when you head south. You train where the coach is, then you go home.

The commute is the part people get wrong. If your morning points north toward Fort Worth, a 5:30am class in Granbury is a trip the other way before that drive starts. It can work, and plenty of people do it, but only if the class ends with enough time to get back through Cresson and onto the rest of the day. If your day ends by coming south on 377, the evening rides are the trip that sits on the way home instead of against it.

Weekday doors are open 5am to 1pm and 3pm to 7pm. Saturday is 5am to 1pm. Sunday is closed. Personal training can sit in either weekday block. Group classes are the early morning. Cycle 24 is Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday evening. Pick the one that matches the direction you are already driving, not the one that looks busiest on a poster.

Who leaves Cresson for a coached room

Cresson is small enough that a big-box membership often means driving anyway, just toward a larger city and a larger floor. The people who do well at Team 24 would rather drive south to a room that knows their name. They are parents fitting a workout around school traffic, commuters who are done spending the only free hour deciding what to lift, and anyone who has been handed a class so full the coach could not see their knees.

You will not be anonymous here, and you should not want to be. Group classes stay small enough to change a weight or a range in the middle of a set. Personal training is private, with Brandon Sledge writing the program and a nutrition plan and tracking body weight, muscle, fat loss, and strength. Dawn Skinner teaches the group classes and the indoor rides. You are not rotating through a stranger with a clipboard.

New is a normal starting point. The first visit is a free consultation, not a workout built to impress you. Bring the real week: when you leave for Fort Worth, when you get back to Cresson, and which evenings are already spoken for. A plan that pretends you live next door to the studio will collapse the first week the highway is slow.

Personal training on the Granbury end of your drive

Personal training is the reason to make a trip that is not already on your way to something else. Brandon coaches the session in a private setting. The program is yours. The nutrition plan is part of it, because a commute and a late dinner will erase a hard hour if nobody is looking at what you eat on the days you never leave Cresson. Progress is written down: body weight, muscle, fat loss, and strength.

Use the free consult to decide frequency before you decide price. Two coached sessions and honest food can beat four sessions you start skipping when 377 backs up. Some people need the room more often because training at home turns into email. We will say which one matches you. We will not start you on the largest week and call it motivation.

Sessions fit the open blocks: early morning through early afternoon, and again from mid-afternoon until 7pm on weekdays, plus Saturday morning. If you can stop on the way home from the north, an afternoon or early evening session keeps the car pointed the right direction. Say that out loud on the consult. The schedule is a tool, not a test of how early you are willing to suffer.

Group class before the northbound day

Group classes are Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, 5:30 to 6:30am. Equipment is already in the room. You are not loading a trunk in Cresson. Dawn coaches the class. It is the accessible way in: programmed, corrected, shared with a small group instead of booked as a private hour. For a commuter, the value is that the hour ends before the northbound day begins, if and only if you left on time.

The work repeats on purpose. You get better at a squat, a press, and a carry because you see them again, not because the playlist changed. A coach can lighten the load or cut the range when your back is talking. That is the difference from a class where the back row is a rumor. If you have been hiding in those rooms, this one will feel exposed, in the useful way.

Group membership is no contract, auto debit. Ask for the current number on the consult so it sits next to your actual week. The class does not include the private nutrition plan. It is the right start when you want a standing appointment and a coach in the room without buying every hour one to one. If 5:30am means you miss the Fort Worth window, do not buy it.

Cycle 24 on the way back south

Cycle 24 is 45 minutes of indoor cycling in the same building. Shoes are provided. You do not need a bike at home and you do not need to have taken a studio class before. Rides are Monday at 6pm, Tuesday at 5:30pm, and Thursday at 5:30pm. One class is $24. Unlimited rides are $149 a month when the bike is the habit and not a one-time look.

For someone coming south from work, the evening ride can be the stop before Cresson rather than a second ignition later. Resistance is on your bike. Dawn calls the effort. You are not racing the rider next to you, which matters the first time you clip in. Newer riders and regulars share the room because the work is scaled, not because everyone is doing the same number.

Book the specific ride. A short-enough drive still fails if you arrive as the room is emptying. If you want rides plus the morning classes plus stretch, that package is Unlimited, and it assumes you are willing to be in Granbury several times a week. One ride a week is a legitimate start. Treat it that way.

A Cresson week that survives the highway

Build the week around the direction of the car. One version that holds up: group class Monday and Wednesday before the northbound commute, and a Thursday evening ride on the way south. Another: two private sessions in the afternoon block and no 5:30am at all. A third, if you are already in Granbury for work most days: a fuller mix, because the drive is no longer a special trip. The consult picks among those. Guessing is how people buy a calendar they resent.

Unlimited is three spin classes, three group classes, and five stretch sessions every week. That is a Granbury-heavy week. It fits a Cresson member who is already south of home most days. It is a poor fit if you can only protect a single hour and the rest of the week belongs to the highway. We would rather you train twice and keep it than hold a membership that makes you feel late.

Stretch is the unglamorous piece for people who sit in a car and then sit at a desk. Five sessions are available inside Unlimited. They are how the strength work stays something your back will agree to on Thursday. Call (817) 683-8347 or send the form. A trainer texts back to put the consult on a day when 377 is not already winning.

Questions from Cresson

Do you have a Cresson studio?

No. Training is at the Granbury studio on East US 377. Cresson members drive south. Same coaches, same schedule, same room as everyone else.

Is the 5:30am class realistic if I work toward Fort Worth?

Only if the class ending still leaves you time to get back through Cresson and onto that commute. If it does not, use an afternoon personal training session or an evening ride instead of forcing the morning.

What is the first step from Cresson?

A free consultation. Bring the real commute. We will decide whether personal training, the group class, or Cycle 24 should lead before you buy a week you cannot drive.

What do I need to bring?

Training shoes and clothes you can sweat in. Group classes have the equipment. Cycle 24 has the shoes. Personal training uses the studio.
